What is a deductible?
A deductible is the amount of money you contribute towards your medical services before the plan benefits kick in. Deductibles can range from $50 to $10,000. The higher the deductible on medical coverage, the lower the premium because you are contributing more to the cost of your medical care.
For example: You are required to have an MRI. Your deductible is $500.00. You will pay the MRI facility $500, and the Company will cover the balance up to the benefits amount in your policy.
What if your deductible is $2000 and the MRI cost is $1500? In this case you will cover the cost in full and submit the claim. The claim will be processed against your plan benefits.
Whenever you spend out of pocket towards your deductible, please file a claim so that you get credit for reducing the remainder of your deductible.
Based on the type of service, and facility, we can help you to get partial or all your deductible waived!
