Waste management remains one of the greatest world challenges of our time
�For the developing world, even in Brazil, the world’s 5th largest country, less than 1.3% of plastic waste is recycled annually due to limited investment and infrastructure�
Many municipalities in the Amazon have no waste systems at all due to remoteness along the river making traditional solutions nearly impossible.
�The Bolsa ORO social fintech solution was developed to bridge the gap. Using QR-coded bags and a digital wallet app, we incentivise communities to recycle, build local waste systems locally where none previously existed, and create pathways for sustainable economic growth!
