The company first started to export of handicraft items to an American company in 1983 subsequently, it extended its export arena with handicraft products in Japan, Belgium, France, Germany and Netherlands etc. Gradually, product mix was enhanced with the need of the customers. mco International started exporting of fish in Germany and later in Japan and continued it about two years. In the same year the company made inroad in the import business and setup trading link with a German company-Esselte Meto International, GMBH, - comprising the product METO brand Hand Held Label Machine and Label. Since 1996, Alarmco International came in touch with the Casio Computer Co., Ltd. of Japan and began to import brand product such as, Casio Electronic Cash Register. It is worth mentioning here that the business of consumer products was booming in the country with the existing policy of the government. Consequently, Cash Registers is becoming popular and demanding item in the trading arena of the domestic market for it’s inherent advantages like - easy handling and giving quick service to the customers. With the increased demand of the customers in the year 2001 Alarmco International extended its business relation with Checkpoint Systems Incorporation. It started importing and selling sophisticated electronic devices like Barcode system (BCS) and BCS labels, Electronic Article of Surveillance (EAS), RF Labels, Electronic Scanners, Point of Sale (POS) software with interfacing controlled Slip printer and POS Display Terminals etc. Alarmco International has other business concern like “Ashraf Anjum Enterprise”. The vision and mission of the company is to be “The leader of the market serving the customers with excellence” and with this mission the company have been using appropriate marketing strategies. Ashraf Anjum Enterprise has now become the market leader of HLS, ECR and on the way to be the BCS and EAS trading in Bangladesh.
