Akij Takaful Life Insurance PLC is pleased to announce that Masuduzzaman Khan, Cert CII (UK), has been promoted to the position of Additional Managing Director (AddMD), effective from 01 January 2026.
Prior to this promotion, Mr. Masud served as the Company's Deputy Managing Director & Chief Corporate Business Officer. With over 24 years of distinguished leadership experience in the life insurance industry, he has played a pivotal role in driving Corporate Business Growth, Bancassurance, Alternative Distribution Channels (ADC), and Group Health & Life Insurance solutions.
An accomplished insurance professional, Mr. Masud brings deep expertise across underwriting, claims management, reinsurance, customer service, product development, and digital transformation. Under his leadership, Akij Takaful Life Insurance PLC successfully expanded its Corporate/B2B and Bancassurance portfolios, strengthened operational governance, and introduced innovative, technology-driven underwriting and claims solutions.
Mr. Masud has served in senior leadership roles both in Bangladesh and abroad, including with life insurance and takaful companies in Kenya, contributing valuable international exposure and cross-market leadership experience.
He has worked extensively with renowned global reinsurers, including Munich Re, Hannover Re, SCOR Global Life, and Asian Retakaful. He has contributed to multiple international donor-funded and inclusive insurance initiatives.
He holds an M.Sc. in Physics and an M.Sc. in Actuarial Science. He is a partly qualified ACII (UK) professional, with extensive academic and professional training in insurance, risk management, and leadership at home and abroad, including Singapore, Japan, UAE, India, and Malaysia.
