⚡ 𝗕𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 – 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘂𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲!

We’re a little behind on the updates… our new high-tech welders have actually been fully integrated into the Scallywag workshop for a little while now! 😅🔥

But we couldn’t finish this series without sharing one of the first trays welded with the new setup — and this one was a little extra special.

Caitlan, took this tray from first weld to finished product herself — and even better, she was building it for her Dad! A pretty cool build to be one of the first through the new welding setup.

This project is helping us increase production capacity while continuing to build the premium aluminium trays, canopies and accessories we’re proud to manufacture right here in the Whitsundays. Thanks for following the journey with us! 🏴‍☠️

𝙎𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙖𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙤𝙤𝙣 𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝘿-𝙈𝘼𝙓. 👌

Featuring our 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘆 setup with flat plate colour-matched sides, an 800mm dog box canopy and slam locks all round, ready for central locking.

This build also features our new 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸, designed to seamlessly tie the tray and canopy together.

Plenty of practical storage on board too, including both headboard and under-tray water storage.

𝘾𝙖𝙣’𝙩 𝙜𝙤 𝙬𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙖 𝙘𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙘 𝙎𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙮 𝙏𝙖𝙪𝙥𝙚 𝙇𝙖𝙣𝙙𝘾𝙧𝙪𝙞𝙨𝙚𝙧. 👌

This Dual Cab was upgraded to our 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘆 style with flat plate colour-matched sides, paired with a 1500mm Canopy, Quarter Dog Box Section and a selection of Scallywag accessories chosen to suit how the setup will be used.

⚡ 𝘽𝙚𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘽𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙

Another milestone reached! Our new welding bays are now complete and ready for action.

From custom-built welding trolleys to safety screens and supporting infrastructure, the whole setup has been designed and built to improve workflow, efficiency and safety.

The workshop is looking pretty good! 👌🏴‍☠️

𝙄𝙩’𝙨 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙚𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙨.

This silver RAM 1500 is fitted with our Premium Tray design, including our new pressed plate headboard.

Designed to follow the profile of the canopy, it gives our Premium Tray setup an even cleaner transition from tray to canopy.

Between putting our new welding technology to work, refining our tray designs and some pretty big builds rolling through, there’s been plenty happening behind the scenes.

Including this RAM 2500… and it got the lot.

Tray, canopy and all the add-ons — a seriously impressive setup that kept the team busy!
