For every $10,000 reduction in assets its worth $780 p.a. increase in pension for an individual or $780 p.a. increase in pension between a couple up until you reach the maximum pension limit.

Age Pension Update: Did you know that the aged pension is indexed twice a year to help you keep up with the cost of living? The latest update was on the 20th March and the next one will be on the 20th September. Many pensioners might not realise that by not updating your assets and income, you could be missing out on a higher pension payment. Are you leaving money on the table – with the dip in markets you could be missing out if you’re not already on a full pension. Pension Preppers is able to assist with our Income and Assets Service. We offer home visits to help you set up your online account with Centrelink. We can also accompany you to the Centrelink office if you need support – we know many of our clients find dealing with age pension matters challenging.

“I was put in touch with Michael from Pension Preppers after multiple failed attempts to set my dad up with a Commonwealth Senior Health Card (CSHC). Michael came to my house and set up my MyGov and MyID accounts. However, linking me to my dad's Centrelink account as a power of attorney was an issue. Michael went to Centrelink with me and resolved that, as well as merging my dad's account with mine and successfully submitting his CSHC application.
