A milestone I almost didn’t share…

I’m incredibly grateful to have received the Best Emerging Franchisee 2026 award.

My first reaction was actually, “I was just lucky.” And if I’m honest, I wasn’t even sure I wanted to post about it.

But then I thought about it, I realised that celebrating a milestone doesn’t have to be about showing off. It can simply be about acknowledging the journey, the people who have supported you, and the trust your clients have placed in you.

Building my bookkeeping business has taught me a lot. But strangely, the biggest lessons haven’t really been about business. I think I’ve learnt more about myself, about people, and how to live and appreciate life.

So I’m going to allow myself to be proud of this one. 😊

Thank you to my clients, referral partners, the First Class Accounts community, and everyone who has supported me along the way. I hope I've made you proud.

And a special thank you to Patrick, who has been beside me throughout this journey, including being there to celebrate this moment with me. ❤️

We’re hiring our very first team member at First Class Accounts – Point Cook.

When we started this business, it was just the two of us wearing every hat possible, bookkeeping, payroll, BAS, admin, client support, everything. It’s exciting (and honestly a little surreal) to now be in a position where we need support to continue growing.

One thing that’s important to us is supporting and growing local talent.

Some moments aren’t captured in photos, they stay quietly with you instead.

I attended our franchise national workshop recently, and somewhere between conversations, shared experiences, and learning, something shifted. Not loudly, but in that subtle way growth often happens.

This was the only photo I took, and honestly, I almost didn’t take this one.

I was too busy having conversations. 😅 Catching up with fellow franchisees, meeting new partners, and learning about the different businesses and solutions within the network. The kind of conversations where time just disappears!

But I’m glad I got at least one photo with someone I deeply respect. Her energy is not the loud kind, but the kind that stays with you. Grounded, thoughtful, and encouraging, while still giving you the clarity and honesty you need.

I left the workshop with more than notes or ideas. I left with perspective.

Sometimes, that’s enough... Actually that’s more than enough.

Today I’m the youngest I’ll ever be… and apparently also an award-winning business owner. 😎

I’ll be honest: I did have my eye on the award and worked hard for it… but it was only a tiny hope. I really didn’t see it coming.
