Some days, when the emails are flying, the phone is ringing and the to-do list seems to grow faster than it shrinks, the best thing you can do is pack up the laptop and work somewhere different for a few hours.

It’s amazing what a fresh environment, a good coffee and a little bit of space can do for your focus.

Running a small business means wearing a lot of hats, and sometimes stepping away from the usual desk is exactly what’s needed to reset, refocus and come back sharper for our clients.

The paperwork still gets done. The emails still get answered. The advice is still the same.

Just with a slightly better view and significantly better coffee.

Yes, we planned this.

One thing you’ll learn pretty quickly about us is that we never shy away from an opportunity to dress up for an occasion.

Theme night? We’re in.

Embarrassing our kids with our outfits? Absolutely.

Outrageous costumes? Guilty.

But that’s pretty much how we approach Arbor Insurance too. We’re a team in every sense of the word. We built Arbor together, we work together every day, and we’re both passionate about helping local families and businesses protect what’s important to them.

Behind every quote, policy review and claim is just us, having conversations, solving problems and doing our best to make insurance a little less complicated.

We’re not a huge corporate office. We’re just two locals who love what we do, love our community, and occasionally turn up looking like we’ve joined the same bowling team.

Stopped in at the Cleveland Sands Hotel the other day and found we were sharing the venue with one of the local bush turkeys. He seemed pretty comfortable with the arrangement. Me? Fairly okay with it. Chris? Not so much.

One thing we’ve learned running Arbor Insurance is that every day brings something different. Some days it’s helping clients navigate claims, some days it’s reviewing policies, and some days it’s trying to work out whether the bush turkey is coming over to say hello or challenge you to a duel.

Fun fact: Chris has actually been chased and attacked by a bush turkey on two separate occasions. Not once. Twice. At this point we’re not sure if it’s bad luck, coincidence, or if he’s somehow on a statewide bush turkey watchlist.

Thankfully, Arbor Insurance can help protect you from plenty of life’s unexpected events… although we’re still waiting for an insurer willing to offer comprehensive bush turkey cover.
