1. To make sure your panels are clean which will allow them to operate at their full potential.
2. To inspect the components of the system. The reason for this is even if the installation was done yesterday or a couple of years ago, the after market components can fail and this can cause a fire.
3. A large percentage of solar fires are caused by incorrectly fitted or poor quality MC4 plugs and DC isolators.
4. The last thing is that panel manufacturers can reject a warranty claim if the system does not have a maintenance schedule.

Remember that cleaning and servicing of solar must be done by a licensed solar contractor.
