Why do we do what we do? My Shout app spawned from the dilemma we face as a hyper-connected society. The idea is to take people from the online environment out into the real world where they can have a real face to face conversation and banter over drinks. As the name states, the app is about giving and this lies at the heart of the concept. We believe technology is a beautiful tool to help people
connect. We believe that face to face communication will always trump any other form of communication. We believe in creating technology that brings people together so they can have a real conversation and connect. My Shout is a free Australian based app where users can select a venue, choose from the menu and send shouts to their Facebook friends or Phone Contacts. Once the user pays by Credit Card or PayPal, the recipient gets notified on their Facebook wall and via SMS. Then the recipient walks into the venue, shows their iPhone to the staff to redeem their shout and enjoys the company of their friends.
