We just finished off this backyard transformation all in time for this coming hot Aussie summer!

This simple yet practical transformation inlcuded a timber deck and handrail on top off an existing concreted area which was originally just used to accomodate a clothes line.

By adding a deck it created an inviting area for entertainment plus dimesion to the residence.

We also created some lattice panels which not only served as a decorative feature but also a very handy storage facility.

We can take you to what is known as a " Lock up Stage " where you as the owner can run the building project to completion without the need of an owner builders licence.

As licensed builders we can guide you through the legal certification and inspection stages required , plus we can give you helpful advise and provide referrals on any other trades you may require with the option for us to continue on with other finishing components required at a later stage .

The addition/extension project shown here is on acreage. The owners were confident and capable of completing the project themselves and wanted to take part in creating their dream home . Therefore we helped them reach a stage where they were comfortable to take over and complete the finishing touches and details at their own pace.

Whether on acreage or suburbia basically the same building principle applies - Prioritize - complete the stages based on whats needed and most important for now.

Just like all projects, it is imperative in "lock up stage" projects that the builder can discuss and plan the intended stages of work with the client openly so they can define the transition (where the builder stops and the client starts).

Here the Owners requested for ideas on how to incorporate their back area with the Pool , the original area was sloped and paved . We changed the levels by building the new area up to the existing pool deck height, this immediately made it seem a larger area , plus a more inviting place to be and use generally if not also a place to comfortably entertain . Decks are Easily and quickly cleaned by using a Blower , unlike some paved surfaces which can quickly gather moss or mildew and can seem like its cold or damp place to be.( Especially in an area with limited Sun.)

House I originally demolished to slab level , then rebuilt to Architect drawn Plans . It took my crew and i approximately 6 -7 months to complete . Owners were very Happy with the Result and it also ended up featuring in a Trade Magazine at the time . I met the owner some years later and He informed me that He Sold the property and achieved getting the asking price and amazingly it was Sold in One Day by practically the first customer who walked through it along with their Building Inspector .
