Accountant Wanted
We’re The Corner Office Co. — and we’re not your typical accounting firm.
We take our work very seriously. We just don’t take ourselves too seriously doing it.

What we are:

✔ Straight-talking

✔ Big on ownership, accountability, opportunity, improvement, and actually giving a damn
✔ A professional, progressive, flexible and fun place to work

What we’re not:
❌ A place to coast
❌ A place where you can hide behind “that’s not my job”
❌ Perfect (far from it, we’re working on it)

We’re looking for an accountant who:
✔ Finishes what they start
✔ Is driven, with an eye for detail and a desire to do better
✔ Can talk to clients like a normal human (no robot accounting jargon)
✔ Knows their way around tax, financials and doesn’t panic at a BAS
✔ Wants to do more than just tick-and-flick compliance
✔ Can handle a bit of chaos, a lot of ownership, and the occasional bad joke
✔ Is proactive about themselves, their clients and life in general

What you’ll actually be doing:
– Financials, tax returns, BAS/IAS (the usual)
– Real client conversations (not just hiding behind a screen)
– Helping businesses make better decisions (not just reporting history)
– Getting involved in advisory, forecasting, and cashflow work
– Fixing things that shouldn’t have been broken in the first place

You’ll need the basics (degree, experience, knowing your way around Aussie tax) — contact us for the full position description.

Happy Birthday to the man who somehow manages to be both the CEO and the office chaos coordinator at the same time.

Andrew — part-time visionary, full-time idea generator, and occasional professional “we’ll just wing it and see what happens” operator.

You’ve got a talent for big-picture thinking, backing yourself (even when there’s zero evidence it’ll work), and convincing the rest of us it’s all part of the plan

Between the business, the random pivots, and your ability to disappear just when there’s actual work to be done — it’s honestly impressive we’ve made it this far.

But in all seriousness — your drive, belief in what we’re building, and willingness to keep pushing (even when it’s messy, stressful, and slightly unhinged) is a big part of why this all exists.

Here’s to more ideas, more wins, fewer “quick chats” that turn into 3-hour strategy sessions, and maybe… just maybe… a timesheet entry or two this year.

We're taking a short break over Christmas so our team can rest, recharge, and enjoy time with family.

Our office will close from 12pm today, and reopen for the New Year on Monday, 5 January.

A huge thank you to our incredible clients, our supportive community, and of course our hardworking team. Your trust, energy and commitment have made this year one to be proud of — and we can’t wait to hit the ground running in 2026.
