Following the Fair Work Commission’s Annual Wage Review decision, the wage rates in other awards increased from the first full pay period starting on or after 1 July this year (with the exception of the Retail Award, which increased from the first full pay period starting on or after 1 September).

The increase takes effect from the first full pay period that starts on or after 1 July 2018. The new national minimum wage will be $719.20 (up from $694.90) per week or $18.93 per hour (up from $18.29). It usually takes the Commission 2-3 weeks to update the pay rates in each award. Once they make these changes, we’ll update our pay tools with the new rates. The Fair Work Commission has lifted the wage by 3.5 per cent, which will increase the hourly rate to $18.93 for more than 2 million people.

The Fair Work Commission has announced a 3.3% increase to award wages and the national minimum wage.

The increase takes effect from the first full pay period that starts on or after 1 July 2017. The new national minimum wage will be $694.90 (up from $672.70) per week or $18.29 per hour (up from $17.70).

It usually takes the Commission 2-3 weeks to update the pay rates in each award.

***New minimum wages now available in our pay tools

From the first pay period on or after 1 July (coming Monday), minimum wages will increase by 2.6%.

Wage Increase as at 1st July, for 1st pay period in July.

The 2.6% increase to the national minimum wage takes effect from 1 July 2013.

This means that the new national minimum wage will be $622.20 (up from $606.40) per week or $16.37 per hour (up from $15.96).

The increase also applies to mini...mum wages for juniors, trainees and apprentices, employees with a disability and to piece rates.
