R.I.P. Jack McCoy. We lost the great surf filmmaker today. An amazing man, he’d been battling a few health issues over recent years but nothing slowed him down and he’d only just finished an Australia-wide tour showing his classic 2005 film Blue Horizon to packed theatres.

Jack made some 25 films over a 50-year career and many were era-defining pieces of work. But above all he was big-hearted guy and he had time for everybody. Rest In Peace

Unfortunately I have been advised of the very sad news of the passing of Lex Evans a stalwart member of North Curly Longboarders, a thorough gentlemen who always greeted you with a huge smile & was in the thick of it whether it was judging at the Snowy McAllister comp or at the 5 Ways. For those who knew Lex & want to pay their respects, NCCL are having a memorial service at the NCC SLSC 10 May @ 1.00pm & at alter date with Paddle Out @ the Snowy Comp. Cheers & Vale to Lex, a lovely lovely human being 🙏🙏🙏
