Presented my research today at NIHR INSIGHT South London 🌿

The argument: personhood in dementia care isn’t lost — it’s sometimes just held in a part of the record no one can find in time.

The model: three temporal layers — past biography, present encounter, anticipated future — held simultaneously, not sequentially.

The next step: building a tool that makes this accessible at the point of care. 30 seconds. That’s the brief.

Watch this space.

What does it mean to stay with someone — rather than explain them, fix them, or predict their future?

I’ve been thinking about this through theatre and dementia care, and wrote about it for The Stage. The piece looks at how performance can shape public understanding of dementia — and where responsibility really lies.

This question continues to shape my wider work across care, performance, and medical humanities.

You can read it here:

If you work in care, theatre, or education, I’d genuinely love to know what resonates.

I’m sharing a new data-driven artwork as part of Do Not Delete Art’s “Censorship Art Spots” — a collective response to online erasure, algorithmic silencing, and visibility gaps.

This work looks at how meaning fragments, clusters, and disappears inside digital systems.

Sometimes art is a laugh.
Sometimes it’s a lifeline.

In Worry, Bookcase, Five Balls…,These works sit in the space between humour and heartbreak

There’s honesty here, mischief, but also delight.

We are invited fully into the stillness and the chaos of the Artists expression .

A tree got felled on Waverley today because of storm floris. IIt was dramatic it being cut down slowly piece by piece cause it couldn’t stand on its own at least not safely so it brought me closer to this work by Andrew Goldsworthy at a nearby exhibition. All about the land. And soul and beginning. .
