On 10 June, Australians are encouraged to pause and say two simple but powerful words: "thank you". 💙
Thank a First Responder Day recognises the hundreds of thousands of paid and volunteer first responders — and the families who support them — who show up during some of life’s most difficult moments to keep communities safe.
Police, paramedics, firefighters, SES, emergency dispatchers, volunteers and so many others often witness trauma most of us never see.
Today is a reminder that gratitude matters.
To every first responder and family member carrying the weight of service, sacrifice and care behind the scenes — thank you. We see you. 💙
Take a moment today to leave a message, write a card, or simply thank someone who has been there in a crisis. Because appreciation can have a meaningful impact on wellbeing and connection.

NEW EPISODE OUT NOW
Catherine is joined by Jean Kittson who has spent a lifetime making Australians laugh, but behind the humour is a deeply personal and confronting exploration of death, dying, grief, and the aged care system.
Catherine and Jean discuss how her own fear and avoidance of death transformed into advocacy and education around end-of-life care.

New Episode Tomorrow...
Catherine is joined by Jean Kittson who shares how growing up in a family that never spoke about death left her feeling frightened, unprepared, and emotionally disconnected from grief.
She reflects on the first time she saw a dead body, the misconceptions she held about palliative care, and the surprising warmth, humour, and humanity she discovered within the palliative care community.

On White Wreath Day, we remember the lives lost to su***de, honour those left behind, and stand with every person currently struggling. 🤍

Behind every statistic is a person.
A family.
A friend.
A story.
A life deeply loved.

Su***de impacts communities across Australia, and conversations around mental health, grief and support matter more than ever. White Wreath Day is held annually in remembrance of all victims of su***de and to raise awareness of the support still needed for individuals and families affected.

If you’re grieving, struggling, or supporting someone who is, know that reaching out is a strength — not a burden.

Today, we remember.
We listen.
We speak up.
We support.
And we continue working towards a future where fewer families experience this loss. 🤍

National Reconciliation Week (27 May – 3 June) is a time to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements, and reflect on the role each of us plays in reconciliation. This year’s theme, *All In*, is a reminder that reconciliation is not passive — it asks all Australians to listen, learn, act and commit every day.

At Critical Info, we know difficult conversations matter. Connection matters. Truth telling matters. And creating safer, more compassionate communities starts with being willing to show up for one another.

Reconciliation is everyone’s responsibility.

How will you be *All In* this week? 🖤💛❤️
