Took a moment yesterday to pause and celebrate 🏌️‍♂️

The Finvera team spent EOFY out at Nudgee Golf Club for a round and lunch - a good excuse to slow down and look back on the year that's been.

And what a year it's been:
✅ $91.2M+ in loans settled across 126 clients
✅ Over 60 families helped along the way
✅ Ben and Shahan joined the team and have hit the ground running
✅ We launched as our very own brand, Finvera, this June

Huge thanks to our clients for trusting us with something as important as their home and finances - you're the reason we do this. Onward to FY27! 🙌

If I could tell every borrower one thing before we sat down, it would be this:

You don't need to have it all figured out.

Most people wait until everything is locked in before reaching out. But the best conversations happen earlier, when there's still time to position things properly.

The borrowers who get the best outcomes aren't always the ones with the strongest application. They're the ones who started the conversation at the right time.

Great to officially introduce Ben Baylis, who joined my team in January as a credit analyst.
Ben brings over 10 years experience in asset lending and, in just a few months, has already become an invaluable member of the business. His knowledge, work ethic, and client‑first approach have made a huge impact.

A little‑known fact - Ben and I go way back, first working together in the Army Reserve. After many sleepless nights out in the bush, it’s fair to say that same commitment now goes into supporting our clients.

Excited to be a part of his future success in finance.

What a night ✨
Last Thursday I had the privilege of being a finalist for New Broker of the Year at the Better Business Awards.
I’m incredibly proud of how far this journey has come — and grateful for every client, supporter, and person who has helped get things off the ground.
An amazing evening celebrating our industry and the people who make it what it is. Feeling inspired and energised for the year ahead.

I’ve been a bit quiet on socials… and very busy in real life.

With the new year underway, it felt like the right time to pause and reflect. 2025 was full-on, challenging, and incredibly rewarding.

Some highlights I’m proud of:

-PB monthly settlements (twice 🙌)

-PB highest ever single loan amount

-PB for number of loans settled in both a week and a month

-PB highest single commercial loan settlement

-Purchased a loan book and expanded an already amazing client base

-Brought on a new team member

And 2026 is already off to a strong start:

-Another staff member onboard (announcement coming soon 👀)

-Extremely proud to be named a Finalist for New Broker of the Year – Better Business Awards

End of Financial Year Reflections ✨

As I wrap up my second year as a self-employed broker with Green Finance Group, I’m taking a moment to reflect on what has been a year of growth, learning, and big milestones — both professionally and personally.

✅ 50% year-on-year growth in my business — something I’m incredibly proud of.

✅ Diversified into Commercial and SMSF lending, fulfilling a long-time career goal and allowing me to offer even more value to my clients.

✅ Grateful for all the knowledge, experience, and relationships gained along the way.

But without doubt, the greatest achievement of all this year was welcoming our third beautiful son, Dominic into the world in October. It’s moments like this that remind me why I do what I do — it’s all for family.

Thanks to my clients, referral partners, colleagues, and mentors for being part of the journey. Big things coming this year!

🎉 Celebrating 12 Months of Growth and Success! 🎉

Today marks a special milestone for me – it's been one year since I embarked on this incredible journey of starting my own mortgage broking business under Green Finance Group. 🌟

Reflecting on the past year, I am filled with gratitude for the support and trust of my clients, the mentorship from Green Finance Group, and the invaluable relationships I've built along the way.

This year has been a whirlwind of learning, growth, and achievement. I have helped 60 clients with over $28m worth of purchases, refinances, investment properties, SMSF and commercial lending.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey – your encouragement and partnership have made this year truly special. Here’s to many more years of helping clients achieve their financial goals and to continuing to grow with Green Finance Group!
