Today we had the privilege of hosting a group of 3rd year students from Marcus Oldham at Clearview Dairies.

What a great bunch of individuals that contributed to great conversations and gave us a glimpse into what the future has in store for Australian ag.

We look forward to deepening our connection with Marcus Oldham to get the next generation into this industry we are so passionate about.

What an achievement! Our very own Troy Ainslie, Manager of Woodrising Dairies was recognised as the Dairy Farmer of the Year by the The Weekly Times. This is the very definition of success. We are so proud to have created a business and a team where we work alongside our Farm Managers to provide them the support, tools and platform for success. And when they maximise that to drive farm performance, and receive the well-earned recognition for it, we could not be happier. Watching our people succeed, grow and thrive - there is nothing better!

Thank you The Weekly Times for hosting such a great event. Congratulations to all of the other nominations and winners. It is encouraging and exciting to see so much passion, enthusiasm and potential for Australian agriculture.

Last night Dairy Tas held their annual award ceremony. We are honoured to have been recognised as the recipient of the 2025 Safety Award. Thank you Dairy Australia and Dairy Tas for this award.

Our People and Communities have always been at the heart of what we do every day, and their safety is paramount. There is always room for growth and further innovation in this area, which we will continue to push forward.

And most importantly, thank you to each of our Farm Managers and our team members for putting safety at the forefront of your mind each day.

Friday evening Dairy Tas and Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture put on a great event celebrating the Tasmanian Dairy Industry and recognising those farms that are leading the way. It was great to see so many young people in the room reinforcing that this industry has a long and strong future ahead.

We were honoured to attend and to have received nominations in four of the award categories – Dairy Business of the Year, Employer of Choice, Young Dairy Farmer of the Year, and Safety Award.

The evening delivered great results for our Compass teams. We thrilled to share that, Compass Tas Dairy Operations c/o Woodrising Dairies has come away with the top award 2023 Dairy Farm Business of the Year. Also, Compass Tas Dairy Operations as a whole was awarded the Safety Award. Congratulations to Troy Ainslie (Woodrising Dairies Farm Manager), his whole team, and all of the teams across our Compass Tas Dairy Operations farms and wider Compass team.

As a result of the Dairy Business of the Year award, there will be an upcoming open day at Compass Tas Dairy Operations c/o Woodrising Dairies. Keep in touch to be notified on the specifics about the day, as we would like to welcome other farm teams, key strategic partners and investors.

A highlight of the evening was the heartfelt presentation of the inaugural Future of Dairy Scholarship (funded by the Lawrence family) in remembrance of Sophie Lawrence, which supports upcoming farmers that are passionate about a career in dairy. Given the youthful make-up of the attendees this will be a highly sought after and competitive award in years to come – a fitting response for Sophie and the Lawrence family’s legacy.

We extend our congratulations to all nominees and winners of this year’s awards. Thank you TIA and Dairy Tas for putting on and hosting such a great evening.
