Councillor Peter Caron Scotsdale/Shadforth Ward Councillor Scotsdale/Shadforth ward I was elected to Council in 2016.

My background as an environmental professional in industry provided a strong set of relevant skills, and a forward-thinking, positive and respectful approach. I’m proud to have contributed to many accomplishments over the last two years, including:

• a major review of our Strategic Community Plan, which will become the Shire's highest level strategic document after full community consultation.
•

strongly supporting the Lower Great Southern Alliance, to further the economic development and prosperity of the region.
• endorsing strategies to meet Planning and Reporting requirements, ensuring Denmark will soon be off the Local Government financial watch list. I also enjoy participating in eleven committees and working groups, including chairing the South Coast Management Group and Waste Management Advisory Committee. If elected, I look forward to putting the Strategic Community Plan into action, supporting local businesses, providing stability to Council, and respecting our beautiful town and environment.
