Cobram will soon be home to a wonderful new library - but first, we need the community's help to realise the project, including a modern, state-of-the-art community hub which is fully equipped for the future. The libary will have have a modern IT area, children’s area, a children’s outdoor area, meeting room, state-of-the-art self-service system, an all-abilities toilet and more, as well as tradit
ional resources. The wheels of progress are in motion in developing the new library and community members are currently helping to fundraise the last portion of funding, in addition to the State Government's and Moira Shire's contribution of $1.65 million. We need $150,000 to create a modern, state-of-the-art inside, which will have the resources to support the community in the 21st century. Donations towards the new library's interior can be made at the Bendigo Bank or at the Cobram Library in Warkil St, or online to the Cobram Library Fundraising Account, BSB 633-000, account number 155163025. Sponsorships for the community project also offer the chance to be immortalised within the new library, with permanent recognition on a special ceiling feature, recognition on the honour roll or naming rights opportunities.
