A first for Thackwood Designs!

Recently, I had the privilege of building this Honour Board for No. 460 Squadron RAAF. Featuring missile fragments, inlaid challenge coins and the names of the Engineers who have served the Squadron. There’s room to continue adding names over the next decade.

Here’s the last of the Blackheart Sassafras a mate brought up for me from Tasmania. I love using the natural contrast in the grain to create the water effect! Timber with character like this is hard to find, so I’m grateful he went to the effort of sourcing and flying four pieces up to Canberra!
