｜Instant Asset Write-Off: Why now is the perfect time to purchase 

If your business has been considering a new asset purchase, the federal government just gave you a very good reason to act before June 30. 

The instant asset write-off is a federal government tax incentive that allows eligible businesses to immediately deduct the full cost of an asset up to $20,000 in the year it is purchased, rather than spreading that deduction across several years. That means a significant reduction in your taxable income this financial year. 

Following the Budget 2026, the $20,000 instant asset write-off threshold has been confirmed to continue, making right now one of the best times to move on that vehicle, equipment, or machinery purchase you have been putting off. 

The deadline is June 30. After that, the opportunity resets and any asset purchased after that date falls into the next financial year.
