|What you need to know about the Budget 2026: Capital Gains Tax Changes 

The government is changing the rules on Capital Gains Tax, and if you own an investment property, this one is important. 

Brad, co-founder of VISION. Finance Collective, breaks down what is changing: From July 1, 2027, the 50% CGT discount will be replaced by an indexation method tied directly to inflation and attached to the cost base. 

If you currently hold an existing property, it has never been more important to speak with an accountant before you consider selling it. The new CGT rules may mean it makes sense to hold your property longer than you originally planned.
