What a fantastic day at the Modewarre Football Netball Club on the weekend for their annual Sponsors Day Lunch and Community Bank Cup.

The club was buzzing with supporters, volunteers and sponsors coming together to celebrate another great season. A huge thank you to MC Tim Christiansen, the many volunteers who organised the day, and the Modewarre netball players who did a wonderful job serving lunch. It was an honour to be part of such a special community event.

The annual Community Bank Cup between Modewarre and Anglesea once again delivered plenty of excitement. Congratulations to Modewarre, who claimed the Cup this year after winning four of the five netball games, drawing B Grade and taking out the Reserves Football. Anglesea fought hard and took the Senior Football victory, but the overall points system saw Modewarre emerge as the 2026 Community Bank Cup winners.

We were proud to once again provide $500 to each club to support the day. In previous years we have sponsored Best on Ground awards, however this year those funds were redirected towards new playing tops for the combined Modewarre and Inverleigh junior football teams.

Community sport thrives because of volunteers, sponsors and local people getting behind their clubs. We are incredibly proud to support the Modewarre sporting precinct, where over many years our community investment has helped fund projects including the scoreboard, goal nets, satellite Wi-Fi, line marker and many other improvements enjoyed by the whole community.

Pictured accepting the Community Bank Cup cheques are Angleseaf football Club captain Harry Ling, Modewarre Netball coach Janet Fenton and Modewarre President Danny Morter.

❤️ Proudly supporting local sport and stronger communities.

There were plenty of smiles and excited little faces at Winchelsea Occasional Care recently as the children explored some wonderful new additions to their learning space.

Run by the amazing team at Winchelsea Community House ommunity House, Winchelsea Occasional Care provides a welcoming, nurturing environment where local children can learn, play and grow. The Community House does a fantastic job creating opportunities and support for families across our community, and we are proud to support the important work they do.

Thanks to support from Community Bank Winchelsea, the room now features new tables, a new kitchen play area, fresh art supplies and funding for timber that will allow the Winchelsea Men’s Shed to build new lockers for the children.

It was lovely to see carers Tina Farmer and Sandra Dixon, along with Community Bank Director Moira Thomson, celebrating the improvements with the children and families.

Projects like this might seem simple, but they make a real difference to the everyday experiences of local children. Seeing their excitement as they discover new ways to learn, create and play is exactly why we love supporting initiatives that strengthen our community.

When you choose to bank with us, profits are returned to local communities through projects just like this one.

Do you bank with us? If you don’t, why not?

Scams are becoming more sophisticated every day, and they can happen to anyone.

That is why we were proud to partner with Surf Coast Shire to deliver four Scam Awareness sessions across the region, presented by our own Daniel Norris.

It was fantastic to see so many local residents attend, ask questions and learn practical ways to better protect themselves, their families and their finances from scammers.

One of the key messages from the sessions was that scammers are not just targeting vulnerable people. They are targeting everyday Australians by creating a sense of urgency, trust and emotion. The more we talk about scams, the more we can help each other stay safe.

Thank you to everyone who attended and to Surf Coast Shire for helping bring these important conversations to our community.

Events like these are only possible because of the support we receive from customers who choose to bank with their local Community Bank. When you bank with us, you’re helping us invest back into initiatives that build stronger, safer and more informed communities.

Do you bank with us? If you don’t, why not?

❤️ We love the community.

What a proud moment at Bendigo Bank, being named Employer of the Year at the 2026 Australian LGBTQ+ Inclusion Awards and retaining Gold Tier status on the Australian Workplace Equality Index.

These awards recognise workplaces where everyone feels valued, respected and able to be themselves, and that is something we are very proud to be part of.

Closer to home, we are especially proud of our own Rod Desira from Community Bank Anglesea, who has played an active role in supporting inclusion initiatives across Bendigo Bank. Rod’s passion, kindness and commitment to creating welcoming spaces for everyone is something we see firsthand and we know this recognition means a lot to him.

At Community Bank Surf Coast, we believe strong communities are built when everyone feels they belong. Whether it is in our branches, our workplaces or the community groups we support, inclusion matters.

Congratulations to Rod and to everyone across Bendigo Bank who has helped make this achievement possible. 💛🌈

There is something pretty special happening in Aireys Inlet this June.

The SENSE-ational Aireys Festival is a wonderful example of a community coming together to showcase everything that makes this part of the Surf Coast so unique. With events being hosted across a range of local businesses and community spaces, the festival is helping attract visitors to the region while celebrating local talent, creativity and connection.

Community Bank Surf Coast was proud to support the festival, and our volunteer Director Andrew attended the opening of the Tapestry of Culture art exhibition at Eagles Nest Fine Art Gallery, Aireys Inlet . It was a great opportunity to meet many of the passionate locals who have worked so hard to bring this month long festival to life.

Events like these do so much more than entertain. They bring people together, support local businesses and help strengthen the communities we all love.

We encourage everyone to check out the festival calendar, get along to an event and support this amazing community initiative. We are sure it will be a fantastic success.

We are very proud to support this special community event happening this Sunday in Anglesea.

Surf Coast for Reconciliation presents Art and Country at the Anglesea Community House on Wadawurrung Country, bringing together artists, storytelling, culture and connection through art and conversation.

The afternoon will feature local artists Alisha Fagan, Joshua James and Teagan Malcolm, along with a Welcome to Country by Corrina Eccles. Events like this are such an important way for communities to come together, learn, listen and celebrate creativity inspired by Country and connection to place.

At Community Bank Surf Coast, we believe investing back into local events, groups and community connections is so important. When locals choose to bank with us, it helps us continue supporting initiatives that bring people together, strengthen community spirit and create opportunities across the Surf Coast.

We are now proud to have returned millions back into our communities through sponsorships, grants and local support, and this is another wonderful example of community partnerships in action.

How good is this! ⛳️

We are super excited and proud to be a major sponsor of the Moriac Primary School Community Cup Golf Day at Winchelsea Golf Club on Sunday 14th June.

It is set to be a fantastic community day with golf, a BBQ, family activities, raffles and a silent auction, all raising money for the Moriac Primary School music program and new instruments for students.

A huge congratulations to everyone involved in organising the day and to the many local businesses supporting the event. Community events like this show what can happen when locals come together.

Grab your team or pair and get involved!
