What a great turnout for our Scam Awareness Session in Winchelsea as part of the Positive aging month in the Surf Coast Shire Council .

Such a successful morning with lots of great conversations about shopping scams and just how easy it can be to get caught out.

A special thank you to Jenny and Peter, who brought along some of their purchases they’d been scammed on. Seeing these items firsthand was a real eye-opener for everyone!

We’re teaming up with Surf Coast Shire Council to host a FREE Scam Awareness & Safe Online Banking session at Community House Inc as part of Positive Ageing Month.

Come along for a friendly, relaxed session where we’ll share some practical tips on how to spot scams, protect your personal information and bank safely online.

Get on down to Point Roadknight Kiosk ☕️🌊

Such a great little local spot right beside beautiful Point Roadknight Beach.
Nick is so passionate about what he does, the staff are gorgeous and the food and coffee are fantastic. And the tea leaf chai… seriously, it’s to die for! 😍
You’ll always bump into a few local characters grabbing their daily coffee, plus the cold plungers coming up from the beach looking very refreshed — or completely frozen! 😂🥶

This is what local is all about.

What a great morning at our Let’s Talk Brain Health session in Anglesea organised by Community House Inc .💙

We had a fantastic turnout with around 60 people joining us to learn more about memory changes, dementia and the support available.

A huge thank you to our guest speakers Sue and Mark from Dementia Australia , who shared some really valuable information, along with Dr Skye Hueneke from Anglesea Medical .

We’re very proud to support events like this that bring people together, start important conversations and provide practical information for our local community.
Thanks to everyone who came along and helped make the morning such a success.

We’re proud to support Let’s Talk Brain Health – an important community session helping us better understand memory changes, dementia and where to find support. 💙

Join us at the Anglesea Bowling Club on Thursday 24 September, from 11am–1pm, for an informative and welcoming session featuring Mark Synot from Dementia Australia, along with a local GP from Anglesea Medical Centre.
The session will cover memory changes that can occur with ageing, practical ways to support brain health, when to seek help, and what services are available.
Lunch is included thanks to Feed Me Surf Coast, and everyone is welcome – bring a friend, family member or carer.

We’re very proud to stand alongside Anglesea Medical, Dementia Australia, Anglesea Community House, Anglesea Bowls Club and the Anglesea & District Men’s Shed to support such a valuable event for our community.
