GOOD NEWS FOR UAE SMALL BUSINESSES! 🎉

The UAE Ministry of Finance has extended Small Business Relief under Corporate Tax until 31 December 2029.

✅ UAE resident businesses with annual revenue of up to AED 3 million may elect for Small Business Relief, subject to the applicable conditions.

✅ The relief was previously available only until 31 December 2026.

✅ This extension will provide eligible small businesses with continued tax relief and greater support for sustainable growth.

The amendment was issued under Ministerial Decision No. 131 of 2026.

An excellent initiative by the UAE Government to support SMEs and strengthen the business environment! 🇦🇪

UAE E-Invoicing 2026–2027: Is Your Business Ready?

The UAE is rapidly moving towards a fully digital tax ecosystem with the implementation of mandatory e-Invoicing. Businesses operating in the UAE should begin preparing now to ensure compliance and avoid penalties.

Under the Peppol 5-Corner Model (PINT-AE), traditional PDF invoices will no longer qualify as valid tax invoices. Businesses will be required to issue and exchange invoices electronically through an Accredited Service Provider (ASP).

📅 Key Implementation Timeline

✅ 1 July 2026 – Pilot Phase & Voluntary Adoption Begins

✅ 30 October 2026 – Deadline to appoint an Accredited Service Provider (ASP) for businesses with annual revenue of AED 50 million or more

✅ 1 January 2027 – Mandatory e-Invoicing Go-Live for businesses with annual revenue of AED 50 million or more

✅ 31 March 2027 – Deadline to appoint an Accredited Service Provider (ASP) for businesses with annual revenue below AED 50 million

✅ 1 July 2027 – Mandatory e-Invoicing Go-Live for remaining businesses

✅ 1 October 2027 – Mandatory implementation for Government Entities

⚠️ Penalties for Non-Compliance

🔴 AED 5,000 per month for failure to appoint an Accredited Service Provider (ASP) or implement the e-Invoicing system.

🔴 AED 100 per late invoice, capped at AED 5,000 per month.

🔴 AED 1,000 per day for failure to report a system outage within the prescribed timeframe.

*📢 UAE Partner & Investor Visa Renewal Advisory*

To help avoid delays during Partner/Investor Visa renewals, we recommend maintaining a balance in your business bank account at least equivalent to your company’s paid-up share capital before starting the renewal process.

Received an AED 10,000 Corporate Tax Late Registration Penalty?

You may still be able to get it waived.

Under the UAE Corporate Tax Law, taxable persons are required to register for Corporate Tax within the prescribed timelines (for most juridical persons, generally within 3 months from incorporation). Failure to register on time may result in an administrative penalty of AED 10,000.

✅ Good News

The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) allows eligible taxpayers to have the AED 10,000 late registration penalty waived if they submit their first Corporate Tax Return within 7 months from the end of their first tax period, instead of waiting until the standard 9-month filing deadline.

If the penalty has already been paid, the amount may be credited back to your Corporate Tax account, subject to meeting the applicable conditions.

📅 Example

* First Tax Period Ends: 31 December 2025
* Normal Corporate Tax Return Due Date: 30 September 2026
* Deadline to Qualify for the Penalty Waiver: 31 July 2026

⏳ Filing by 31 July 2026 could save you AED 10,000.
