Bank of Baroda sponsored the “Finance and Real Estate sector” meet organized by Consul General of India. The meeting was headed by Mr.Saurabhbhai Dalal, Hon’ble Minister of finance, Energy & Petrochemicals, Mine & Minerals, Cottage Industries, Salt Industries, Printing and Stationery, Planning, Tourism, Civil Aviation, labour and Employment along with other high level delegate members of Government of Gujarat, GIFT etc. The purpose of meet is to interact with investor to explore the possibility of investment in to GIFT project. Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT) is a globally bench marked International Financial Service Centre (IFSC) developed by Government of Gujarat through a joint venture between its undertaking Gujarat Urban Development Company Ltd. (GUDCL) and Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services Ltd. (IL&FS). GIFT is conceptualized as a global financial and IT services hub, a first of its kind in India, designed to be at or above par with globally benchmarked financial centers such as Shinjuku, Tokyo, Lujiazui, Shanghai, La Defense, Paris, London Dockyards etc. The project is located on the bank of the Sabarmati River and is around 12 km from Ahmedabad International Airport. GIFT is easily accessible from all directions through 4-6 lane State and National Highways as informed by Shri Sudhir Mankad - Ex-Chief Secretary, GOG & Current Chairman of GIFT. The program arranged at “Burj Al Arab” Dubai and was attended by high value client of banks.

Bank of Baroda (BOB), India’s International Bank celebrated its 107th Foundation day on 20th July 2014 at Zonal office, Dubai. All Staff members of Zonal office and Dubai main branch were present on the occasion. The Chief Executive Mr.K.V.Rama Moorthy garlanded the portrait of the founder of the Bank Maharaja Sir Sayajirao Gaekwad III and lit the lamp. He also paid tribute to the visionary for his initiative taken 107 years back for establishing a Bank in a small princely state of Baroda which has grown in to a great organization today with 5100+ Branches spread in 25 countries across the globe. A major nationalized bank, BOB has a global business of around ten trillion as at March 2014. He lauded the efforts of the many visionary leaders who have made significant contribution in the progress of the bank over the period of last 100 years and also thanked the customers who stood by the bank in creating the organization of today’s stature and repute
On this auspicious occasion, The Bank distributed Iftar Kits to the employees of Emirates Petroleum at their accommodation in Sonapur, Dubai. His Excellency, Consul General of India to Dubai and Northern Emirates, Mr. Anurag Bhushan graced the occasion. His august presence added glory to the programme. His Excellency was happy to note that as a part of CSR activity during the holy month of Ramadan, Bank has distributed about 10000 food packets in various labour camps across the UAE.
